He is Risen!
The moon slowly rose through wispy clouds, its reflection glinting in patches of brilliant white on the liquid black Indian Ocean, as we talked late into the early hours of Easter morning. Finally, after many tears, hugs, and prayers, we joyfully proclaimed, “He is risen, He is risen indeed!”
We were reminded once again, of God’s grace in bringing us (Megan & Brian) together on a very similar African beach 7 years ago, and could celebrate His resurrection power afresh in our lives, our marriage, and our calling as missionaries here in Mozambique.
This experience was just one of many that we had as a WorldVenture family at our first field conference over the Easter weekend. We came together to share vision, to support one another, and to look at how God is leading us to continue to serve here. One theme that unites all our ministries is the desire to mentor and disciple future leaders.
Raising up Levites
“This song is about the Prodigal Son. It tells us to have hope, and to come back to Jesus,” Josue said. He, along with 4 other young men, is part of the first class of Levitical Interns that ACAC will be graduating at the end of this year.
We’re excited to take this next step in developing worship leaders who will bless the local church through worship ministries and through lives that glorify God. The internship will focus on 4 key areas:
Christian Discipleship
Business Development
Life & Leadership Skills
Artistic Production
Today the interns and I had the opportunity to be worship consultants for a local church. We spent 4 hours with their worship team, sharing about worship, and encouraging the team in their journey as worship leaders. What a privilege to see the interns teach and patiently guide others!

Growing up Girls
The girls continue to grow in grace. All are now attending “Miss Helen’s School” a few afternoons a week. Helen, a fellow missionary and pre-school teacher, is helping to supplement their education by giving them the extra hands-on attention they’re not receiving at pre-school.

We’re humbled by amazing partners, like Helen, and like you, that allow us to continue to share the Hope of Easter with others. Thank you for being part of this resurrection journey.
What a cute picture =)
